Captain Jack’s Seafood Buffet, Myrtle Beach

7.30.23| On our last day in Myrtle Beach, SC—after we said our goodbyes to family who were headed home—we had dinner at Captain Jack’s Seafood Buffet, where we enjoyed all the seafood and crab legs we could eat. We stayed a third night at the Prince Resort to take full advantage of our special stay offer.

We chose Captain Jack’s because it was near the resort. If you go to Captain Jack’s, make sure you’re hungry and be prepared to splurge ($$$$ on Tripadvisor). Beverages are not included with the buffet, but you get refills on soda or ice tea when you order one. An 18% gratuity is automatically included. If you have a discount coupon, present it to the waitress when you’re seated. Val is an expert at finding coupons and deals and so is my daughter, Mackenzie.

We were the second family through the doors when the restaurant opened for dinner and everything was laid out freshly prepared. You’ll not only find crab legs and seafood here. The buffet offers 140+ items including wings, fried chicken, chicken alfredo, pizza prime rib, steak, vegetables, fries, fried rice, soups, salads, desserts and more for those who are not seafood lovers. The stations include a hot bar, cold bar, salad bar, and dessert bar. You can also order seafood, pasta, chicken and steak dinners off the menu.

Capt. Jack’s has a gift shop, if you want to purchase a souvenir. And it’s also a great spot for photos and selfies(free) as you’ll see in our photo gallery.
